Two years ago, Dale and I were introduced to Young Living by some of our friends. I wasn’t really sure what it was all about and didn’t really think too much more about it. A couple of weeks later I was invited to a DoTerra Essential Oil party at another friend’s house. I decided I would go along and see what all the fuss was over essential oils. I had a great time hanging out with a bunch of women and was convinced that they were something we should look into. That same week we signed up with Young Living who are the leaders in essential oils.
That first year was all about getting our heads around how to use the oils in our daily routine. We weren’t consistent and would go through phases of diffusing the oils and applying them for various reasons. I finally came to realise that Young Living wasn’t just about the bottles of oils, but that they offered a whole range of chemical-free products with the added benefits of the oils. As a mum with young children, my desire is to give my kids the best start to life possible. One of the ways is to reduce the amount of chemicals we are exposing them to. I discovered Young Living’s Thieves cleaning products and went through my laundry cupboard to get rid of all products that were not natural. My cupboard was now basically empty!
Young Living launched their Savvy Minerals makeup range which I absolutely love, and they now have their Seedlings infant range. Their products are soothing, and I have 100% confidence that I am not putting harsh chemicals on any of my children, or myself. Young Living are now a part of our daily routine, and the kids absolutely love it too!
I know in today’s day and age, it’s hard to completely avoid toxins and chemicals; however if there are simple strategies that I can use and habits I can adopt to reduce those exposures drastically, then I am going to do what it takes to help my family and those around me. I would love to see this in every family!
